Fun with our family through 8/13/2012

So here are a few fun pictures we have taken since we've had Stewart.
Actually this one is from January for Mom and Melody's birthday.
This one is from about March. Elise fell asleep listening to the Christmas book that Grams and Grandpa recorded for her.
Susan and Elise planted some flowers for us while we were in the hospital having Stewart. She loves to take care of them.
She played hard, picked some flowers and then curled up on the floor and fell asleep.
Elise likes to put her babies in Stewart's car seat and then she decided that it would make a good seat to watch a movie in.
Rachel was sitting holding Stewart and rocking and Elise and Traygen decided to follow suit. So they had a rocking out party.
Josef and Elise playing in a box outside, hiding from the horses
Elise loves the horses and wants to ride them anytime there is a saddle on one.

 Grams cuddling with the kids.
Elise loves the horses and riding the wagon. This was at our reunion with Spencer's family this year.
Can you tell which one is doing the "real" work. Okay well technically Spencer got a phone call to organize our move while they were fixing Grandma's roofs but it was still an amusing site to come out and see.
Elise put together her birthday puzzle and is so proud of her elephant.
Elise loves to help me rock and take care of Stewart.
Elise "sharing" her toys with Stewart.
To me this look already says, "Help"! :)
Elise thinks she is so big and can run the computer just like mommy and daddy.
Elise wanted to have a picnic on the porch. She almost fell asleep though too.
Disguise? No. Spencer's homemade raincoat since we had packed up all of our coats.
 Elise helping Stewart fall asleep.

Someone was not ready to wake up. She had enough energy to walk across the room and and fall asleep in her chair again.
So this picture should have went in the temporary housing section but oops. Anyway I looked over while we were in the hotel in Arizona and Elise had built this all by herself. My very clever little girl.

real tree or cell phone tower?:)

So this is for Spencer's mom. Who would have thought that we would have to come to Arizona to find a way to keep trees "green" all year round. :)

They make cell towers look like pine trees and palm trees. They do look a lot nicer than just a metal cell phone tower.

Temporary housing July 18-August 14

So until we get to move into our house we are living in temporary housing. It is okay but it will be so excited to be able to move into our new home. Here is our life in temporary housing.

 We are the bottom door.
Here is our one room, studio apt/hotel room.

 Spencer and Elise dancing!
 Storytime
The other day while we were shopping Stewart was fussing so I was carrying him and then Elise started saying that she was really tired so Spencer set her up in the car seat before we knew it she was sound asleep. Then a few days later we had just come back to the hotel and Elise said she wanted to sit in the car seat and rock. She climbed in and soon I looked over and she was sound asleep again. I guess she likes the car seat better now than she did when she was little.
 Our two cuties!

Elise blow drying her hair Sunday morning. We thought since it was like a hotel that it would surely have a blow dryer so we didn't bring ours and unfortunately it didn't so we have been trying to use the air conditioner a little to blow dry our hair. :)

Our New House!!!

So Spencer is finally done with his Masters degree in Engineering and he was offered a job in Chandler, Arizona. A ways a way from home and family but it will be an adventure. We decided to buy a house since renting is as much or more here. We came on a house hunting trip the first week of July. It was like a roller coaster ride. The market is starting to come back up here and so houses move really fast. All but 1 house we saw Monday was gone Tuesday, Wednesday we saw a house we liked and re-looked at it Thursday morning and were going to put an offer on it but they had just accepted an offer. Then Friday only 1 came on the market that we wanted to see. We loved it! Much more than anything we had seen all week plus it is in an amazing, family friendly community. We put an offer down and prayed that they would accept it, especially since we were headed home the next day and couldn't imagine how we could top this house or neighborhood. Luckily they accepted it Saturday and we signed the first papers before we left.
SO here are some pictures of our new house.
 It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath

 front room
 laundry
 bedroom 1

bedroom 2- Elise really wants this bedroom. Which really surprised us because the other one is purple. We thought it was because of the bed and lamp but she is holding solid to wanting this room even now that the house is empty.
 Master bedroom
 Master bath

Star is where our house is the circle behind is a big park and the area to the far right is the community center with a swimming pool and fishing pond :)
This is the larger community center that is a couple of minutes away from our house!
