Ravensburg Celebration 7/25/2011

The Ravensburg Celebration is almost a week long celebration for the city. All the smaller towns that are in the Ravensburg "county" participate. The schools are out but the students must participate with their classes. They show the history and different events for Ravensburg and the surrounding areas to the present year.

 The flag throwers was one of our favorite parts. It was really cool to watch the little boys who were just starting to learn this art. Some were probably only about 5 yrs. old. But the men that had been flag throwers for years put on a very impressive show.

 Melanie told us we had to try the chocolate covered fruit. The fruit is fresh fruit and you can get just one kind of fruit covered in white or milk chocolate or you can get a mixed fruit. We chose the mixed fruit in white chocolate so we could try more kinds of fruit with chocolate. It was very yummy. Definitely something I will have to make at home.
