Friday the 22nd we dyed our Easter eggs.
I do know how to spell. The egg just says hello in German:)
Elise wanted to help with everything. (Hope she hasn't been learning from Aliza)
Spencer and Elise counting to help Elise learn she had to leave the eggs in the dye for more than two seconds.
They also loved drawing pretty pictures on the eggs. Well okay so Spencer's were things like rockets. Elise would draw on an egg for about 2 seconds, declare it pretty and find a cup for it to go in. As you can see she figured out very quickly that the eggs needed to be in the cups so she wanted all of the eggs there. We had to work on the concept of the eggs needing to be in the dye to get colored.
We had a lot of fun. I think everything is more fun when you have kids to do it with. They are so fun to watch and I love seeing all the things they come up with.
When we were cleaning up Elise decided to lick the spoons. We thought she would only do it once but she kept licking the spoons. Apparently vinegar water tasted good to her. What is there in vinegar that a growing girl might need? I don't know either but it was still amusing.
On Saturday we celebrated Spencer's and Herr Rebmann's (our landlord) birthdays by having a barbeque and then cake.
On Sunday we went to church but then in the evening three of the Rebmann sons played in a big Easter concert so we went to watch. It was a very good concert.
Elise loved clapping.
The whole orchestra.
So since we left early on Sunday for church and then went to the concert our Easter bunny didn't come until Monday morning. Elise loved finding eggs and her little Easter basket. We put some eggs in the house so when she woke up she would see eggs.
Elise was so excited that there were two bunnies in her basket.
She loves her new buddy.
Elise and her bunny tasting a chocolate egg to make sure it was safe to eat.
Tchuss means goodbye in German.
So we had a busy but very fun filled weekend.
